Sunday morning reading (and ranting)

So Leave the home Mom is all about getting out of the house as much as possible with (or without) three small children. My thought and encounters and experience as we try to negotiate the needs and necessities of daily life.
Today is Sunday and it is my day for relaxing and laundry, oldest boy get some computer game time and has a meltdown every time we take him off, little miss likes to try a game or two too and the cherub holds the spare wii controllers and 'joins in' too. We try for an hour, usually fail miserably and it goes to two, and hopefully we get some outdoor time too.
I try to catch up on reading and keep current while this happens.
Today I was reading this moms breastfeeding experience and was prompted to write a response. I have breastfed 3 children (still nursing the last one at 19mths) and I found her experience negative. I think more support in the early days might have helped, I certainly needed that this time around as my cherub still has some issues with latch but her post definitely does not reflect my journeys into feeding my children.
I have never experienced headaches, nor has anyone I know who has breastfed,
Also, not all children graze all day and night, mine didn't, they did sometimes (growth spurts) but usually they were pretty routine; I never had to use pads or had spurting milk; Never had to watch my diet, even had a drink if I fancied it, all i had to do was make sure to drink plenty of water and fluids. The fizzy drink thing is a myth as far as I know.
I also disagree that bottle feeding is easier, I formula fed my first 2 from 6 mths and hated every minute of it. Such a pain in the bum; can't imagine doing that for a screaming newborn.
Fussy babies settle pretty quickly when on the boob and a shawl goes a long way to being discreet.
Some of the pros are rarely mentioned: babies poo a lot less (sometimes as little as once a week), babies are more content and studies have shown that moms who breastfeed and co-sleep get more sleep then those who don't.
My cherub also has issues with dairy and formula so had we artificially fed from the start he would have been on all kinds of 'special' formulas, been ill etc etc.
I will be upfront on my views on breastfeeding: all babies should be breastfed for as long as possible, exclusively. At a minimum all babies should be breastfeed in the first day and while in hospital. I disagree with hospitals giving out free, pre-made formulas and I think all parents should be educated on the disadvantges of formula feeding.
